Divot

Divot

(div·ot)

The piece of earth you just sent flying after hitting the ball. It’s a mark of power, or just bad aim.

Divots can be both positive and negative.

You will see professional golfers take divots on nearly every shot they take. Amateurs tend to “accidentally” take divots or no divot at all.

Don’t forget to use the sand hanging off the side of your cart to fill in those divots on the course.
